Thaw
The thaw reveals things that were always there but somehow less so, or less observable: the landscape’s infinite granularity; the vague spirit-inhabited quality of debris shaped into effigies by the last flood; beautifully ‘crafted’ arrangements in grass, stone and lichen with a Japanese sense of ephemerality.
